Chapter 1: Every hero needs an origin story, and this is ours...

Major Nuts was born out of my personal battle with non-natural products. Picture this: hormone issues, mood swings, and an epic quest for a soap that wouldn’t leave me feeling like a science experiment gone wrong. I didn’t even realize this was something I was struggling with until I dug deeper into what goes into other products.

The spark of insperado (or inspiration, for those who don't follow the D)

One day, I stumbled upon a soap company claiming their products could magically fix all my problems. Spoiler alert: they didn’t. Sure, they were more natural than the usual gift pack crap and initially made me feel a bit better, but they weren’t quite the genuine article. This got me looking into more natural products and what was truly natural about them.

So, I decided to take matters (and soap) into my own hands. I was noticing more and more of these so-called natural soaps popping up, and I was looking into them a bit more. One day, while joking with a friend, I said, "If I had a soap, I’d probably call it something like Morning Wood, because I’d want cedarwood and sandalwood in there." And from that joke, it snowballed. I started thinking up other funny names—some of which I’ve released, some that are still in the works, and some that are so obscure and rude they’d probably get me arrested in certain countries. Thus, Major Nuts was born.

Diving in the deep end

The first thing I did was dive deep into researching how to make soap. This went as far as me ordering ingredients and starting to make soap myself. I’m a hands-on learner, so I learn by doing. After I made my first batch of soap, it came out fairly well. I was dead against using palm oil initially, but that’s a story for another time.

Challenges

One of the main challenges I faced when starting Major Nuts was understanding how different scents and recipes would work, and whether they would be effective. Initially, I had some great scents in mind, but soon realized how regulated the soap industry is. There’s a strict limit on the amount of essential oil that can be used in products. Because I was committed to making my products 100% natural, I avoided synthetic ingredients or perfumes. This means my soaps have a more subtle scent, and that’s by design. While some competitors might have stronger fragrances, they often rely on synthetic ingredients to achieve that intensity. I wanted to ensure my soaps were as natural and gentle as possible.

Why is Major Nuts different?

What sets Major Nuts apart from other soap companies is our unwavering commitment to transparency and 100% natural products. Unlike others who may label themselves as a "natural soap company" but include synthetic ingredients in most of their products, every bar of soap we make is genuinely natural. Our ambition and determination to keep things truly natural are at the heart of what we do. Additionally, we infuse our brand with a sense of humor, pushing the boundaries and creating products for those who appreciate a good laugh and a bit of daring fun.

Our next chapter

Our future goals for Major Nuts are all about continuing to release amazing, 100% natural soaps that people can enjoy carefree, knowing they’re using something good for their bodies. In the coming months, we’re excited to branch out into beard oils, adding another fun and unique element to our brand. Beyond that, I have some innovative ideas in the pipeline that I believe will completely change the way people see Major Nuts. This will involve educating people and getting them to question what's truly natural and what's not. Hopefully, this will shake things up just enough to make my competitors sweat a little. I want all of us to be held accountable for our actions—no more hiding behind misleading labels. It’s time for a soap showdown! Stay tuned for what’s next – we’re just getting started!

Conclusion

And there you have it, folks! The origin story of Major Nuts. It’s been a wild ride, but we’re just getting started. Keep an eye out for more exciting products and some seriously fun surprises coming your way. Remember, Never Underestimate The Soap!
